Before + After Your Treatment

Choose Your Service

Select your treatment below for general pre- and post-care guidance.

Before

Before Your Appointment

Arrive with clean skin whenever possible and be prepared to discuss your treatment goals, medical history, medications, supplements, allergies, and any recent procedures or changes in your health.

If you take medications or supplements that may affect bruising or bleeding, discuss them with your provider before making any changes.

Do not stop prescribed medication unless directed by the healthcare professional who prescribed it.

Avoid scheduling treatment over areas with active irritation, infection, or open skin, and let your provider know if anything changes before your appointment.

After

After Your Appointment

Temporary redness, swelling, tenderness, or bruising around injection sites may occur.

Avoid rubbing or applying significant pressure to treated areas immediately following treatment. Follow the specific activity, skincare, and aftercare instructions provided by your injector.

Results develop gradually and can vary from patient to patient.

Contact Evermore if you have questions or experience symptoms that concern you following treatment.

Before

Before Your Appointment

Come to your appointment prepared to discuss the look you're hoping to achieve, along with your medical history, medications, allergies, previous filler treatments, and any history of cold sores.

If you have a history of cold sores, let your provider know before treatment, as injectable treatment around the lips may trigger a recurrence.

If you take medications or supplements that can affect bruising or bleeding, discuss them with your provider rather than discontinuing them on your own.

Treatment may need to be postponed if you have an active infection, cold sore, significant irritation, or other concern around the treatment area.

After

After Your Appointment

Swelling, tenderness, bruising, and temporary asymmetry can occur after lip filler, particularly during the initial healing period.

Avoid unnecessarily touching, pressing, or massaging the area unless specifically instructed to do so by your provider.

Follow the individualized aftercare instructions provided at your appointment and allow your lips time to settle before evaluating your final result.

Seek prompt medical attention for severe or worsening pain, significant color changes or blanching of the skin, vision changes, or other concerning symptoms after filler treatment.

Before

Before Your Appointment

Arrive with clean skin and let your provider know about any active irritation, breakouts, infections, recent procedures, medications, or changes in your skin.

Your provider may recommend temporarily adjusting certain active skincare products or treatments before your appointment based on your individual skin and routine.

Avoid excessive sun exposure and arrive without a fresh sunburn or significant skin irritation.

After

After Your Appointment

Your skin may appear red and feel warm, tight, dry, or sensitive following treatment. These effects are generally temporary, but individual recovery varies.

Treat your skin gently while it recovers. Follow the post-treatment skincare instructions provided by Evermore and avoid introducing products or treatments your provider has not recommended during the initial recovery period.

Sun protection is especially important following treatment.

Because SkinPen works by supporting your skin's natural renewal process, improvements develop gradually. A series of treatments may be recommended depending on your skin concerns and goals.

Before

Before Your Peel

Let your provider know about your current skincare routine, medications, recent treatments, allergies, skin conditions, and any history that may affect your treatment.

Your provider may recommend adjusting certain active skincare ingredients or treatments before your peel.

Avoid arriving with sunburned, irritated, compromised, or actively infected skin.

After

After Your Peel

Peeling typically begins a few days after treatment and may continue for several days.

Do not pick, peel, pull, or scrub away shedding skin. Allow the peeling process to happen naturally.

Follow the VI Peel aftercare protocol and any products or instructions provided by Evermore. Protect treated skin from unnecessary sun exposure and follow your provider's recommendations regarding skincare, exercise, heat, makeup, and other activities during the peeling process.

Your skin may look different throughout the peeling period before the treatment process is complete.

Your Care Is Personal.

Pre- and post-treatment instructions can vary depending on your medical history, treatment area, products used, and individual treatment plan.

Before your appointment:

  • Tell your provider about medications, supplements, allergies, medical conditions, pregnancy or breastfeeding status, and recent treatments or procedures.
  • Let us know if you develop an illness, infection, cold sore, rash, sunburn, or significant irritation before treatment.
  • Never discontinue a prescribed medication solely to prepare for an aesthetic treatment unless the prescribing healthcare professional has instructed you to do so.
  • Ask questions. We want you to understand your treatment and feel comfortable with your plan.
